Warlord Games Bolt Action — Australian Matilda II Infantry Tank (402415001)

The Matilda II was the most heavily armoured tank in the world at the outbreak of WWII, and in Australian service it became a formidable weapon in the Pacific theatre. The Australians made several practical field conversions to the standard A12 Matilda II, most notably adding armoured guards to the front tracks and protection against the turret ring becoming a shot trap — hard-won lessons from combat in the Pacific jungle.

The most fearsome variant was the Matilda Frog — a flamethrower-equipped conversion that replaced the main gun with a pressurised flame projector. A terrifying weapon capable of clearing bunkers, foxholes, and dense jungle cover, the Frog required a 20-second pause between shots while pressure rebuilt, making close infantry support essential to prevent the tank being overrun during that vulnerable window.
