Warlord Games Bolt Action — 8th Army 25-pdr Light Artillery, Quad Tractor & Limber (402211001)

The pre-eminent British field artillery piece of WWII — and beyond, serving through the Korean War and Malayan Emergency into the 1950s and 60s — the QF (Quick Firing) 25-pdr was capable of both direct fire and howitzer roles, excelling in both. Although of lower calibre than many contemporary guns, the 25-pdr's exceptional range and the speed with which Royal Artillery crews could respond to the British fire control system cemented its reputation as one of the finest artillery pieces of the war.

Its Axis opponents were so impressed by the rate of fire that many refused to believe the 25-pdr wasn't an automatic weapon. Often towed by the Morris C8 field artillery tractor — universally known as the 'Quad' — the 25-pdr was a vital support weapon in the desert campaign against Rommel's Afrika Korps and Mussolini's Italian forces.
