Warlord Games Bolt Action — Crusader Mk I/II Cruiser Tank (WGB-BI-158)

The Crusader was the quintessential British cruiser tank of the Western Desert campaign — fast, agile, and synonymous with the sweeping armoured battles fought across the sands of North Africa from 1941 to 1942. The Mk I and Mk II variants saw extensive action against Rommel's Afrika Korps, where their speed made them well-suited to the highly mobile nature of desert warfare and the traditional cavalry tactics favoured by British armoured formations.

Armed with the 40mm QF 2-pounder gun, the Crusader could engage enemy armour effectively at combat ranges, and its speed allowed it to exploit breakthroughs and conduct the kind of wide flanking manoeuvres that defined the back-and-forth battles of the desert war. Though outgunned by later German tanks, the Crusader remained a vital part of the British order of battle throughout the North African campaign.
