Few weapons struck more fear into German forces on the Eastern Front than the Katyusha. A quintessentially Soviet concept, the name refers to a long series of truck-mounted multiple rocket launcher systems designed to deliver a devastating barrage against a target, then rapidly reposition to avoid counterbattery fire. One of the most common variants was the BM-13 launcher mounted on Lend-Lease Studebaker trucks — a symbol of Allied cooperation and Soviet industrial ingenuity.

On the Bolt Action tabletop, the Katyusha’s Multiple Rocket Launcher is a powerful and unpredictable weapon with absolutely devastating potential. A great piece of low-cost self-propelled artillery, no Soviet Armoured Platoon is complete without at least one.
