Always at the forefront of the fighting, the Waffen-SS were among the best-equipped and most tenacious formations of the Wehrmacht. As the war ground on and Allied bombing campaigns pummelled German industry, the supply of new materials became increasingly strained — yet the Waffen-SS continued to receive priority allocation of the finest weapons available.

Winter conditions were not exclusive to the Eastern Front. The Ardennes offensive and the brutal Italian winter of 1944 — the coldest in 150 years — saw troops desperately in need of cold weather gear. These figures are sculpted wearing a mix of the wool-lined M40 and fur-lined M43 parkas issued to Waffen-SS troops, the latter available in grey, tan, or Italian camouflage pattern.
