Mordant Earth is a Warhammer Technical paint specially formulated to create realistic cracked and parched earth effects on miniature bases and terrain. Applied over a dark base colour and left to dry, it contracts as it cures to produce natural-looking cracks — the thicker the application, the larger and more dramatic the cracks. A staple basing product for any Warhammer hobbyist.

How to Use

• Apply over a dried dark base colour such as Stirland Mud or Rhinox Hide
• Apply thickly for large, dramatic cracks — apply thinly for finer, subtler cracking
• Leave to dry fully without disturbing for best results
• Drybrush over the top with a lighter colour to pick out the raised edges of the cracks
