The LVT(A)-1 and LVT(A)-4 were armoured amphibious assault vehicles used by the United States Marine Corps and Army across the Pacific and European theatres of the Second World War. Derived from the standard Landing Vehicle Tracked (LVT), the armoured variants added turret-mounted firepower to provide direct fire support during amphibious landings — the LVT(A)-1 mounting a 37mm gun turret, and the LVT(A)-4 a 75mm howitzer.
