Plaguebearers are the rank-and-file daemons of Nurgle — the bloated, one-eyed foot soldiers of the Lord of Decay, each one a former mortal soul transformed by the Plague God's foul blessings into an eternal servant of rot and corruption. Shuffling forward in a shambling tide, they are far more dangerous than they appear: supernaturally resilient, capable of shrugging off wounds that would fell lesser warriors, and carrying the Plaguesword whose slightest touch can inflict festering, incurable wounds.

On the tabletop, Plaguebearers are the dependable core of any Maggotkin of Nurgle army — tough, durable objective holders that grind down the enemy through sheer attrition and the debilitating effects of Nurgle's gifts. A Plagueridden champion leads the unit, while a Piper and Icon Bearer can be included to provide additional abilities.
