A deep, rich warm brown with reddish undertones, Vallejo Model Color Mahogany Brown (70.846) captures the characteristic depth and warmth of polished mahogany wood. An exceptionally versatile dark brown for painting wood grain, dark leather, fur, bark, and rich earth tones on miniatures, terrain, and scale models.

Recommended Use

Apply as a deep basecoat for wood, dark leather, and fur effects. Highlight with Vallejo Red Leather or Flat Brown for worn wood and leather tones, or mix with Orange Brown for warm mid-tones. Shade with Burnt Umber or Black Brown for deep shadow recesses and wood grain detail. Thin with distilled water or Vallejo Airbrush Thinner for airbrushing.
